Choosing the power of a hair dryer
Hair dryers are different and their main difference from each other is the power and type. By type they are divided into professional and household. How they differ from each other read here. As for the power, and it is a valid distinction, and it is believed that the more power, and the device itself is better, but this opinion is strongly open to criticism from different sides.
A normal household hair dryer has a capacity of 1200-1600 W, and this is enough to heat the air and create a strong stream of air, which will quickly dry your hair. This is enough to effectively dry and style your hair at home. As for the professional ones, their power is 2100 watts. But the professional models are themselves very high-quality and functional. They can be used to dry your hair really fast at home. And it is so fast that there is simply not enough time for styling. These models are needed only for professional stylists and hairdressers, who can make a hairstyle for a few minutes to the client. You at home simply do not have time to make the styling, as your hair is already dry. If you use a professional hair dryer with a capacity of 2100 W, then unless you use it only for drying, not to create a beautiful hairstyle.

We tell you what features to look for, and which model among the top professional hair dryers for hairdressers best suited for home.
How to choose a hair dryer?
The beauty industry, developing at a breakneck pace, does not lag behind the modern dynamic lifestyle of women. In this case, the time, which the beautiful half of humanity can spend on themselves, has become significantly less. Its scarcity is felt even in such familiar things as creating hairstyles. Not so long ago ordinary hair dryers served the function of a simple dryer for the hair. Today these devices, with sufficient functionality and skill of the buyer, can render almost the entire range of services provided in a beauty salon: they give volume to the hair, straighten natural curls, curl any diameter. But how to choose the right hair dryer, given your hair type, budget and styling skills?

Why buy?
Many stylists say that a person’s image begins with his or her hairstyle. For a high-quality and current haircut, as a rule, are responsible beauty salons, but many people, due to lack of time do their own hands for styling. Using combs and a hair dryer. This familiar household appliance allows you to quickly and, with some features, conveniently and safely dry and style the most problematic hair into a pleasant hairstyle. When choosing a hair dryer, many are faced with a wide range of problems and issues, because this simple household device has a lot of fine-tuning and nuances. The rules do not work here: the more expensive the better, the more functional the better and the more powerful the better. Let’s start with power.
How to choose the wattage of a hair dryer?
Many people mistakenly believe that the power affects the temperature of the air, but this indicator depends only on the speed of air flow. Modern household hair dryers have a power in the range 1200-1600 watts. This is usually enough to use the appliance regularly at home. Professional models, as a rule, have a power, exceeding 2100 W. Hair can be dried faster, which leaves less time for styling. Given that professional hair dryers are heavier and more complicated than household, to cope with a couple of minutes can only cope hairdresser. That’s why it’s better to run after devices with higher power if the speed of drying is more important for you than the final hairstyle. You should also consider your hair type when deciding which wattage to use.
For brittle, dry or short hair should choose a hair dryer with a capacity not exceeding 1200 watts, t.к. Higher power can ruin the hair structure.
For thick, long or heavy hair is suitable device with power from 1600 watts and above. That’s enough power to give your hair volume and volume.
The best option when choosing the power would be to buy a model with the ability to regulate the airflow. This feature will allow the use of one hair dryer absolutely all members of the family.
What kinds of hair dryers are available?
The range of hair dryers, nozzles and other accessories is very wide, while there is no strict classification and division of these devices by their characteristics, so it is worth paying attention to the scope of application.
The most budget-friendly and low-power type of device. As a rule, the manufacturers supply these hair dryers for hair a minimum set of options and extensions, or do not complete them at all. Limited functionality and power are sacrificed in favor of mobility. They have a folding handle and can be carried in a small bag.
Some models are battery-powered, which makes the use as convenient as possible. The disadvantages of compact devices are obvious: low power, no nozzles. The only function of these devices is hair drying, and slowly.
Disadvantages
Recommended for drying short hair or for customers who regularly travel, go to the gym or the pool.
With technical specifications that are only slightly higher than those of compact hair dryers, the household class of devices has a number of advantages. The low weight of these devices allows for free manipulation, and their power is sufficient for everyday needs. In addition, household devices are the most ergonomic and convenient option for independent use. The control buttons and their handle are designed so that they are easy to find by touch. On the other hand, these hair dryers, like the compacts, are not made for long hours of operation,
Disadvantages
Recommended for a wide range of consumers.
Quite recently, this category of devices was used exclusively in beauty salons. They are the largest in size, weight, power, and usually the most extensive in equipment. They usually have a shockproof and heat-resistant housing, interchangeable filters, a long cord and nozzles for styling hair of any length.
They can work for a very long time without interruption. The greatest disadvantage of these appliances is their ergonomics. Handles and buttons for switching modes and speeds in these devices rather ground up for the work of professionals, and can not be quite convenient for individual use. Also, professional hair dryers are very heavy, holding them with one hand over your head for long periods of time will be difficult.
Disadvantages
Recommended for professionals and those buyers who, having enough skill and qualification, want to get the most out of the device.
How to choose hair dryer heads?
One of the main criteria when choosing a hair dryer is a set. As a rule, the manufacturer is ready to offer customers several nozzles, each of which is designed for specific manipulations.
Concentrator is the most popular among hairdressers and buyers nozzle, it has a tapering flat tip and is indispensable for styling and modeling hair. It is believed that for all its speed and convenience, the concentrator can cause damage to the hair, t. к. Collects hot air in one point. The optimal width for styling hair is 7090 mm, for drying 90110 mm will be enough.
The diffuser is the second most popular nozzle. It is a wide nozzle that is pushed over the end of the hair dryer at its narrowest part. Thanks to the many holes, it passes a powerful jet of air through itself, as through a sieve, turning it into a light, warm breeze. The device’s main function is fast drying, and the nozzle does a great job with it. But marketers also give this accessory the power to add volume and form curls. However, in order to get the diffuser to perform these tasks, it is necessary to have at least basic professional hairdressing skills and dexterity. Nevertheless this attachment saves time, moreover makes a powerful hot air jet more soft, scattered and sparing, protects the scalp from overdrying.
This type of appliance combines the functionality of a hair dryer and a brushing attachment. The power of these devices is usually low, so it is more suitable for creating hairstyles rather than drying hair.
As a rule, manufacturers for this type of devices offer a rich range of styling attachments that will allow you to straighten hair, give them more volume, curl curls. It is a type of hair dryer that should be handled skilfully and is often used by beauty salon professionals.
Disadvantages
Recommended for those who want a styling tool rather than a blow dryer.
How to choose a nozzle for the styler?
As a rule, the hair dryer-styler can be purchased together with the following types of nozzles:
The half-circle brush head comes in handy for chemically styled hair if you need to straighten curls. The half-end nozzle easily lifts hair from the roots and smoothes strands.
Standard round brush with plastic teeth to create curls.
The hair comb for conditioning, drying and adding volume.
Wide comb for drying and styling.
Standard curling iron.
Small-diameter curling irons for tight curls.
Round brush with natural bristles for shine.
Brush with retractable teeth for curls, no tangling of the hair.
Relaxing Hair Dryer Sound. 2hrs ASMR (NO MIDDLE ADS!)
What materials are made of quality hair dryer?
The housing must be made of high quality material. Cheap plastic tends to melt at high temperatures, so after 10 minutes of drying you can feel quite unpleasant and acrid smell of burning. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to distinguish a bad plastic from a good one outwardly. Often the quality certificate does not say what material the hair dryer is made of. When choosing the body material one universal advice works: if already in the store window from the device emits an unpleasant smell of plastic, it is definitely not worth buying it.
The heater can be budget metal or more expensive ceramic. Using the first type in a hair dryer design can cause the hair to heat up unevenly. And that can take a toll on your hair. Ceramic heater dries hair much faster than metal heaters. It ensures uniform heating, your hair will be safe.
Note
If you have decided on the class of the device, you should consider the following parameters when buying:
Preferably
Ceramic heater: provides uniform heating, hair safety when drying, long working time without overheating.
Ionizer function: neutralizes static, protecting the hair from drying out.
Designed with tourmaline coating: it produces more ions, hair feels frizzier, smoother, and shinier when drying.
Diffuser: to prevent the hair from overheating and injuring.
Concentrator: to precisely direct the airflow. This nozzle is very convenient for styling.
Replaceable filters: protects the stuffing of the hair dryer he dust and hair.
Power: 1200-2000 watts is enough for home use.
Materials of the body: it must be made of a heat-resistant and shock-resistant material
The shape of the device: Currently there are two types of hair dryers: a pistol and a cylinder. The first is more convenient for drying hair, the second for styling.
Ergonomic: the hair dryer must fit comfortably in your hand. The controls for switching power, speed and temperature should be positioned so that you can easily feel them with your fingers without changing the position of your hand.
The weight of the appliance: This should be checked individually in the store, after holding the device on outstretched arm for a couple of minutes. Optimal weight of the device for home use up to 500g.
Noise of the appliance: this can be tested in the store by turning it on. If it works too loudly or the noise is uneven, it may indicate improper motor work.
Cord length: 1.5 to 2 meters is enough for home use.
Cold air function: allows you to fix your style without damaging it with too much heat.
The choice of temperature mode and speed: the more of these modes, the wider the range of combinations for drying and styling hair. At a minimum, both of these parameters should be adjustable in two values.
The modern features of hair dryers
Technological progress has come in the beauty industry, which offers a lot of useful and interesting devices for hair beauty. Modern hair dryers dry hair in five minutes, less damage and do not give the electrified.
To choose a good hair dryer, stylists recommend a closer look at the latest models and their additional features. They make your hair look like you just stepped out of the salon every day.
Let’s talk about these features in detail. And you should pay attention to them when choosing a hair dryer.
Ionization
A popular “chip” now. the ionizer. Keeps hair from getting static and, thanks to its anti-static effect, helps keep it shiny and healthy.
Removable air filter
An important feature for the practical guy! Removable filter makes it easier to empty the hair dryer and prolongs its life.
Sensor for humidity control
The principle of its operation is quite simple. Sensor monitors hair moisture level and automatically reduces airflow power when hair starts to dry out.
Infrared lamp
It dries hair at low temperatures, twice as fast, making it less prone to hair injury.
Cold air blowing
You can blow dry hair at the roots with hot air and the rest with cold air, so it won’t damage your hair more.
Touch-activated
The sensor system regulates the operation of the hair dryer itself depending on whether it is lowered (the device is automatically turned off) or raised (turned on). And no buttons!
Ozone lamp
Drying with ozone-rich air has been proven to have powerful therapeutic effects. Under its influence the formation of the protective hair layer is accelerated, the color preservation period of the colored hair is prolonged and even the dandruff is reduced.
How to choose a hairdryer for your home: help us decide on the criteria
A household hair dryer is more than a common appliance, and with few exceptions, everyone has one. In this case, most people do not pay much attention to the technical characteristics of this device, and many do not even remember under which brand the hair dryer, which they have been using for several years.
It is unlikely that this attitude is indicative of irresponsible users. Most people don’t really care which hair dryer they use.
It can be assumed that either the technical characteristics of the different models differ only slightly, or the differences do not have a tangible impact on the quality of drying hair.
We tried to summarize our knowledge and the results of our tests to understand how to choose a hair dryer? and what you need to pay attention to?
The device of a household hair dryer
All household hair dryers are arranged approximately the same: the typical design implies the presence of the function of drying with cold and hot air, several modes of operation, perhaps one or more nozzles in the kit.
Also a hair dryer you can find a removable filter, usually made in the form of a fine mesh wire mesh, under which sometimes is hidden the gasket of porous material. In more budget models, the filter may not be removable, which can complicate the maintenance procedure for the device.
The body of the hair dryer is traditionally made of durable plastic that can (if possible) withstand shocks and accidental falls on the floor. Inside is a simple control unit, fan propeller, electric motor, heating element in the form of a spiral and overheating protection (thermal sensor).
The main elements, as it is easy to guess, are the fan and the heating element. It is from them depends on the amount of air flow that can pass through a hair dryer per unit time, as well as the speed of heating of the air (and consequently its temperature at the output).
For protection against overheating in decent models a thermostat (a bimetallic plate that breaks contact when reaching a certain temperature) is used, as well as a thermal fuse, whose only task is to melt (burn out) if something goes wrong and the thermostat does not work.
When the overheated appliance is turned off, the thermostat will cool down after a while and reconnect the electrical circuit: the appliance is ready to use. But a blown fuse will have to be replaced.
Modes of operation
Depending on the complexity of the device, a hair dryer can work in one or more different modes.
The most basic models can either work or not work. These devices belong either to the most simple (budget) or portable models (those that were designed specifically to be taken with you on vacations and business trips).
Most home and professional models allow several modes of operation. As a rule, you can meet:
- Two motor modes (normal for soft styling and powerful for fast styling);
- Two or three temperature modes (no heat, gentle drying mode, maximum heat fast drying);
- Cold air button for a quick, short-term change of temperature mode.
Power and intensity of airflow
The power consumption of home hair dryers is typically in the 18002400 (average 20002200) watt range.
Our measurements have shown that the airflow rate at the nozzle (without the nozzle) is about 9.5-10.5 m / s (up to 13.5) in a gentle mode and 14.5-15 (on average up to 16.5-17.5, and sometimes higher) m / s in maximum power mode.
The temperature can vary quite noticeably: thus, for one model the warm air will be heated to 42-45 C and hot to 79-83 C, while another model with similar characteristics can easily show results of 60 and 98 C respectively.
However, some measurement errors are unavoidable here. Firstly, the hair dryer heats up as it works, so the air temperature at the beginning of drying will be very different from the temperature in the middle or at the end of the procedure. Secondly, no one uses a hair dryer by putting it close to the hair. And consequently to change the temperature in one direction or another, it is enough to bring or remove the device by a very small distance.
Thus, it is standard to start drying wet hair at a lower temperature and at a closer distance. Subsequently, as the hair gets drier and the air temperature is higher, the user reflexively moves the hair dryer away from the hair, providing himself with the most comfortable temperature.
The absolute values of temperature and airflow power are therefore of little importance. Especially when you consider that, in most cases, these differences are not that great: even though one model may appear to be more powerful than another based on test results, it is far from certain that the user will notice this difference in daily use.
And consequently the vast majority of users do quite wisely, choosing a hair dryer not on the basis of its technical characteristics, but quite other attributes in dimensions, weight, ergonomics, and even by color (why not??)
Accessories
The hair dryer always comes with at least one concentrator attachment, which is used most often. It is no secret that both professionals and ordinary users of hair drying devices as a rule use a hair dryer without a nozzle for ordinary drying, and the concentrator for styling: structuring hair, creating curls, etc. п.
The other (optional) attachments very often stay in the box under the unit and are almost never removed.
However, if you are sure you need more than one, and will actually use it, you can easily find models with two concentrator nozzles of different shapes and sizes, as well as models with a diffuser nozzle with perforated patterns for more gentle drying and volumizing of your hair.
Product care
The hair dryers do not require any special care. All the user has to do is unplug the hair dryer and make sure it has cooled down, then clean the air intake with a soft brush (or just rinse/blow out the removable filter). We recommend that you clean the casing with a soft, dry cloth without using any additional cleaning agents.
Additional Features
One of the main signs of professionalism is service life with intensive use. Unfortunately the format of our tests does not allow us to set this parameter. It is also unobtainable for the average customer in a regular store.
But the buyer is quite able to assess many parameters related to the design and ergonomics of the device. Let’s list the main features that are worth paying attention when choosing a hair dryer.
- The quality of plastic: the plastic must be strong, not too starchy, should not look overtly cheap, and should not emit any extraneous (technical) odors.
- The size and weight: a hair dryer should not be too bulky or too heavy. It is clear that this parameter is subjective, so it is better to choose the hair dryer by hand so it does not cause discomfort in the process of use.
- Grip area: it is good if the grip area of a hair dryer will be decorated with a special plastic soft touch or rubberized material that prevents slipping.
- Cord length: when choosing a hair dryer, it is worth remembering how far from the mirror there is an electrical outlet. The standard cord length for most models is 180 centimeters, but you can find models on the market with significantly longer or shorter cord lengths.
- Nozzle retention and rotation: nozzle should be loose (but not too loose) to rotate, easy to insert and remove.
- Ionization: many manufacturers advertise the air ionization feature, describing it roughly as follows: The tourmaline ionizer generates negatively charged particles, removing static electricity from the hair, making it easier to comb the hair and keeping it internally moist. Beautiful, healthy-looking hair. We could not assess this parameter objectively, so we leave this item to the user. We admit that we doubt that this feature can significantly affect the comfort of drying hair, but who knows?
- Temperature/humidity sensor: the most advanced hair dryers have special temperature or humidity sensors designed to adjust the air temperature according to hair temperature. Although we have big questions about the accuracy of such measurements, we find this feature quite useful: there is nothing wrong with a hair dryer to reduce the temperature on its own, detecting that the air has become too hot.
- Holder for the wall: each hair dryer has a special loop, which allows you to hang the device on the hook next to the mirror. In this kit with some devices you can find special holders, which must be installed on the wall. However, such devices can be also bought at home furnishing stores, so in our opinion such an extended set is not very valuable.
Choosing a hair dryer for the home, many users are guided not by brand loyalty and not the technical characteristics of the device, but by intuitive, difficult to formalize criteria such as a good in the hand, a comfortable shape or pleasant design.
Our experience of testing these devices showed that such approach in this case is quite justified. In terms of technical characteristics, the vast majority of household hair dryers differ from each other insignificantly: to detect this difference in everyday use will not be so easy.
Well, since hair dryers break quite seldom, the most rational strategy when choosing a hair dryer within one category (a hair dryer for home/compact or folding hair dryer for business trips) is the choice by appearance: a hair dryer should be convenient in hand, have all necessary operating modes, be not too heavy and, of course, in general evoke positive emotions and look elegant.
How to choose a hair dryer for drying your hair: we advise you with experts
It would seem that why do you need to know how to choose a hair dryer for hair drying? Just go to the store, buy the appliance for your means, and use it for its intended purpose. However, this approach is not quite right. A hair dryer is not only a tool for drying curls, but a real home stylist, on which your look will largely depend. But in order to look always perfect, you should have the right approach to its purchase and choose a hair dryer that fully corresponds to your hair type, styling skills and hairstyle wishes.
How to choose a hair dryer
The hair dryer is an invaluable helper in creating beautiful hairstyles. The right model for your hair will not only be comfortable, but it will last a long time. And how to choose a hair dryer, we will tell you below.
Type
Start your search after you decide on the type of hair dryer. There are three varieties:
Universal (standard) hair dryer. it is a familiar device for drying and styling hair. Can have up to 2 nozzles.
Travel models differ from conventional models with lighter weight and less power. These appliances have a folding handle, only a couple of modes of operation.
How many watts does a hair dryer use
Stylers. hair dryers, which have a cylindrical shape and several different nozzles. They can be used to straighten, curl and style your hair.
Nozzles. this is what helps you quickly and efficiently create beautiful hairstyles. This is an important parameter of choice if the device is needed not only for quick drying.
Different Hair Dryer Nozzles
Nozzles can be absent at all (as in many travel models) or be in the quantity of 1 to 6 pcs. Let’s look at what they are needed for:
The concentrator nozzle creates a stream of directional air, fixes the style and straightens hair. Most hair dryers have one.
Diffuser. nozzle with “fingers”. Helps you dry your hair quickly because there is an airflow through each finger. It can be used to dry a large area at once.
The brush head is round, can be different sizes. With its help you can give your hair volume, create large and small curls.
The straightener is the hair straightener that looks like a normal flat comb. Straighten and shine your hair with it.
The comb is convenient for drying thin or short hair.
The last three attachments go with the hair dryer-brushes. They require some experience in handling. If you don’t create elaborate hairstyles, an ordinary hair dryer will suffice.
What is the optimal power of a hair dryer?
Power range is enormous, from 700 watts to 2,000 watts. The choice of this parameter depends on the purpose of the hair dryer, the type and density of hair.
Power up to 1500 watts are found among the travel models, as well as hair dryers-brushes. The latter do not need too much power. 600-800 watts will be enough.
Hair dryers at 1600-2100 W are standard universal devices. The thicker and chunkier the hair, the more powerful the model. Too powerful hair dryer for thin hair will lead to dry hair.
Models over 2100W are considered sufficiently powerful. It dries hair fast, suitable for professional use.
Number of modes
Most dryers have 2-3 blow speeds and 2-3 temperature settings. The appliance can blow hot, warm, and cool air. Cold air mode is best for fixing hair and brittle hair.
The simpler models have only two modes of operation. Only one switch is provided. Heating speed and temperature are interrelated: the higher the speed, the hotter the air. It is only good if you want to dry your hair. It is convenient to create a styling model where the speed and heat adjustable separately.
Heating element
It can be metallic or ceramic. Metal heating element. It dries hair quickly, but it can over-dry it if you use the appliance too often.
Ceramic heating element is preferable. Can hold at a stable temperature, won’t leave your hair parched or dry out, and won’t cause the body to heat up. Give preference to ceramic models if you have colored, thin or damaged hair.
Features
Usability and quality of hair also depend on a number of details. When choosing a hair dryer, pay attention to the following features:
Ionization function. It is a very useful option. Ionization removes static electricity, and with it, the “dandelion” on your head. It also gives your hair a beautiful shine.
Removable grid. It is constantly clogged with dust and hair. Over time, they begin to melt, and there is an unpleasant odor in the air. The removable grille makes it easier to clean and lengthens the life of your hair dryer.
Cord Length. If the socket is far from the mirror, the length of the cord becomes one of the key parameters of the choice, if you do not want to use extension cords.
Hair Dryer Shopping Guide | Everything You Should Know About Hair Dryers!
So, for drying and simple styling is enough standard hair dryer with a nozzle-concentrator and a power of 1800-2000 watts. In other cases, it’s worth choosing a model more carefully. But if you’re having trouble choosing, we can help you find the perfect appliance!
How to choose a good hair dryer for home use?
Earlier hair dryers were bought exclusively for drying hair, but today it is not just a tool that helps to quickly dry your hair after washing, with its help you can give your hair volume, straighten curls or vice versa, curling them, making a beautiful styling.
Today girls do not want a common household hair dryer of low power, they want an advanced hair dryer, which will be easy to control, easy to handle, will make the process of drying and styling easy and will be suitable for all hair types.
The main features to pay attention to when choosing a hair dryer: 1.Power It is wrong to think that the more power a hair dryer has, the better the appliance itself. To 1200 watts (these are usually travel options, which have compact size and light weight), 1200-1600 W (for home use), more than 1600. 2300 W (professional models). Power is often associated with the temperature of the air the hair dryer delivers, but this is a misconception.к. Power is responsible for the speed at which the already heated air leaves the hair dryer. Important to know: different hair types need different airflow speeds and temperature settings. It is not recommended to buy a powerful hair dryer for fine or short hair. A 1200 watt hair dryer is more than enough to keep your hair healthy. In addition, if you have short hair, too powerful hair dryer will dry your hair too quickly and will not allow them to arrange as you would like it. If you have long, thick hair, you might want to go with a 1600 watt hair dryer. Desirable: use heat protectants for drying and styling, especially if you often use a hair dryer, such funds create a protective barrier on the hair and keeps them from overdrying. That way the hair will look healthy and shiny for a long time. Hair dryers with power from 2000 watts regularly used for styling or drying hair at home is not recommended. 2.Temperature mode The temperature of the air flow at the outlet of the nozzle hair dryer varies from 70 to 120 degrees Celsius. But it’s hard to measure these modes in degrees, so they say low, medium, and hot. The weaker, thinner and less frequent the hair, the more gentle mode should be used. In hair dryers for home use such modes are usually 3, in professional 6. If there is none, then such a hair dryer is better to give up. Pro tip: Always dry the bangs and temples at a lower temperature, as the hair is thinner here and can easily be damaged by a hot stream. In addition, to fix the style, you need to go through your hair just the cooled air. 3.The material heating element Infrared lamp (often in professional hair dryers) Spiral (in hair dryers for home use) If you choose a hair dryer with a spiral, it is desirable that it was in a ceramic element, so the air heating will be more uniform. 4.Ionizer The ionizer emits negative ions, makes the hair more manageable and removes static, its presence in the hair dryer will be a plus.
To sum it up: So, when choosing a hair dryer, give preference to the model, which will include 2 types of modes of regulation: air speed and air temperature. These two modes should work independently of each other, so that you can separately set the temperature of the air, and separately the speed of its flow, and if the hair dryer will still include a cold air supply, it will keep it much longer.
Three power categories of hair dryers
Low-power hair dryers. up to 1,500 watts
Usually it’s a travel hair dryer. Compact, often collapsible hairdryers, which are good for travel use, but of course do not work well on their own.
However, people with weak or thin hair need to know that this drying method can actually be the best for them. Not much water accumulates in the hair, so a weak hair dryer can cope with drying. On the other hand, the hair itself is not as protected. A heavy heat would be more detrimental to them than to healthy hair. This is where the weakness of the hair dryer is an added bonus.
Is it worth purposefully taking a weak hair dryer??
Life experience tells us not to. Have you completely given up hope of being able to make your hair strong and beautiful already? And if you haven’t lost. then what will you do with a weak hair dryer when this happens?
If you want a hair dryer that can switch between speed and heat, it’s probably best. You can use your hair dryer at either high or low wattages. And initially low-power. only low, and there’s nothing to be done here.
Standard household hair dryers. 1,500 to 2,000 watts
The middle weight category of hair dryers, which includes most of the mass-market products. What can I say?? Basically, it usually dries medium volume hair in average time. It is not a problem to think about really fast drying with these hair dryers.
The real professional models. from 2 000 watts
No, the power of a hair dryer is not the only criteria for a professional hair dryer. Although important, of course.
For more details on the other differences between professional and household models of hair dryers, you can read in a separate article on this topic.
