LEX EVI 430 BL Electric Hob Instruction

Induction hobs or cooktops are the result of the development of traditional kitchen appliances. Their main difference from others lies in the principle of operation. If everything is clear with a stove working on gas. the combustion of gas fuel leads to the heating of dishes and food in it. In the electric furnace heating is carried out by the fact that the electric current passing through the heating element generates a certain amount of thermal energy.

The inductive panel operates on the basis of other physical phenomena. Cooking with this type of equipment is achieved by induction. Current flowing through the turns of an inductive coil is converted into an alternating magnetic field. It heats the cookware due to the occurring vortex field.

How to use the induction stove correctly

For the stove to work for a long time and without too many problems from the user requires only one thing. to exactly comply with the requirements given in the instruction manual. This document, describes how to choose where to install the model, how to turn it on and operate it.

How to connect the stove

The main tool you will need to connect the device to the mains is a screwdriver. Directly for connection you will need to buy a certain amount of three-core power cable. Most often a cable with a cross section of 4 to 6 kV is used. mm. The length of this cable should be long enough to connect the panel. As a rule, a 4-wire cable is included. The two wires, brown and black, are phases, the blue wire is “0”, and the yellow-green wire is ground. The wire ends should be stripped. On the back of the product is a comb, in which the stripped wires are installed. The free end must be connected to the mains electricity supply in the house.

How to turn on an induction hob

So, the panel is plugged in. Once this process is complete, some models signal that everything is running smoothly and the panel can be turned on.

On the control panel, there is usually a “start/stop” button, pressing it will turn on the device.

Before you begin, it makes sense to clean the surface of any packaging or adhesive residue that may have remained after the production. By the way, the first minutes of operation can smell like burnt rubber. But do not worry too much, this unpleasant smell will soon be gone.

There are separate buttons on the control panel for each individual zone, and some models have separate controls. Power setting is from 0 to 9.

The instructions for use describe in detail which power modes are optimal for boiling, and which for heating or direct cooking.

How to turn the induction hob off correctly

After you finish cooking you must switch your hob off. To do this, you can press the “start/stop” button or wait for a certain time, after which the panel itself will go into standby mode.

Touch control

The sensors are electronic sensors hidden in the thickness of the glass ceramic worktop. Concise pictograms engraved on the surface indicate the function of each such button. Controls are responsive to the touch of your fingertips. Unlike rotary knobs they have no slots, so they hardly ever get dirty and if necessary the surface can be cleaned in seconds with a light touch of a damp cloth.

How to use the sensors? Simple and easy: first touch the power sensor and wait for the beep. Then place the pot on the cooking zone marked in the graphic and activate the cooking zone selection indicator. After that, you must set the burner power level using the “” and “-” buttons. That’s it. the burner has already begun to heat the dishes! While using the device you can change the power, activate the expansion zone and the timer for each of the cooking zones.

Changing the power

Each Hi-Light burner in LEX electric hobs has nine heat settings. Set the desired value, as we have already mentioned, using the ” ” and “-” buttons at any time. Minimum power is used to maintain the temperature of the dish, while maximum power is used to heat large quantities of water quickly and intensively roast meat in the pan.

Lex EVI 320BL Cooktop

Burner timer

Almost all Lex electric and induction cooktops are equipped with an electronic timer. This function allows you to set the duration of each burner and program them to turn off at the end of a set period of time. You can also use the timer as a reminder. When the set time has elapsed, the device will simply beep, but will not turn off the heating. This option is particularly useful for cooking in stages and using several temperature settings.

The timer can be set for a maximum of 99 minutes. Thanks to the touch controls, setting the function is very simple. Turn on the hob, select the burner, adjust its heating power and touch the button to activate the timer. Then you must use the sensors marked ” ” and “-” to set the function time.

Once you have set the timer, you will see a countdown timer that will appear on the display. When the time period reaches the end of the cooking time the burner switches off automatically.

The timer is a very convenient and useful function that allows you to reduce control over the cooking process. If you need to prepare a dish that requires long heating times at a constant temperature (stew, sauce, soup, etc.).д.), you won’t need to sit in front of the stove and check the time. You can re-set the timer and get on with your day. cooking will stop when you have finished. When you have several possible cooking phases, you can pre-set the time for each one using the. After the timer signal, you can change the power setting and start the next cooking step.

Tempered glass top

Lex offers stylish and modern hobs with “gas on glass. Their surface is not made of metal, as in our usual appliances, but of tempered glass, so that the technique looks very impressive. With a glossy glass surface contrasts beautifully with the powerful cast iron grids, as well as metal controls.

Many housewives are still wary of “gas on glass” cooktops. Not surprisingly, because the word “glass” is associated with fragility. Is it possible to put a heavy pan with water on such a hob?? And what will happen to the glass surface, if it accidentally falls on any object, such as a spoon? After all, in the process of cooking all sorts of things can happen.

Tempered glass should not be confused with ordinary glass. The main difference is the technology of production of the material. It involves tempering at 650-680 degrees and then quickly cooling with a stream of cold air. As a result the glass is mechanically robust, more resistant to impact and more resistant to heat, i.e. able to withstand the stresses imposed by higher temperatures. Tempered glass can withstand heat up to 350 degrees. Since gas burners are located on the surface, not under it, it is enough.

The glass surface can be painted in any color, which expands the possibility in terms of design of household appliances. Lex prefers universal shades: white, ivory, black.

Another advantage of tempered glass is its completely smooth, pore-free surface. It is very easy to remove dirt from it, especially since you can use inexpensive cleaning agents. You will spend only a few minutes for daily care of the appliance.

Tempered glass is safe to break. When it breaks, it forms small splinters with blunt edges, which are not capable of serious injury. The glass pane will easily survive a falling spoon or ladle, but you’d better handle very heavy objects with care.

Automatic boiling

Boiling automation is a function that allows to accelerate the cooking process and reduce the control over the process. You will not need to watch and wait for the liquid to boil to reduce the heat. the electronics will do it for you.

How the automatic boil works in cooktops? You set the heating mode at which the food will be cooked after it comes to a boil, and then you activate the. The burner switches to maximum power immediately and after just enough time for the liquid to boil, it automatically reverts to the cooking level you selected.

The most important thing when using this function is to set the degree of heat of the burner correctly. You can find recommendations for cooking different dishes in the instructions of the appliance. The power level you select after boiling over depends on the type of food, the volume of the cookware and the burner size.

For example, for soup or milk it is recommended to set the heating power to 1 or 3, for goulash or vegetable side dishes to 1 or 2, roast and fish to 4-5, vegetables and fish to 2-3, cutlets to 6-8.

Automatic boiling function simplifies the use of the stove. You don’t have to constantly switch the power during cooking. it’s done automatically. There is no need to control the dish either, and the quality of cooking is improved. At the moment, this function is only used in models of medium and high price category.

The safety switch

Hob safety switch-off. a function that increases the safety of cooking appliances. No matter how attentive you are, there are times when you forget to turn off a burner. What happens in this case? First of all, there is the risk of energy waste. Electric heating zones, depending on the size, can consume from 1 to 3 kW of electricity, so the losses will be quite significant. The second risk is overheating and breaking of the device, because the burner heats not the cookware, but the surface.

The hob burner safety shutdown can work in two cases. The heating zone (or several at once) will be disabled if for a certain period of time the device does not receive any commands from you. The protection system also triggers in case of overheating of the appliance, for example, when you use several burners at the same time at high power.

Safety shutoff. important and very useful feature. So when buying a hob, it is better to make sure that it is equipped with a safety system. over, even the budget models are equipped with this option, so there is no extra cost.

LEX EVH 640 BL electric cooktop. review

Like any woman who goes from a gas stove to an electric hob, I was told by many that it is a matter of habit and I honestly STIRED to get used to this shaitan-machine.Actually, now just over 8 months as the panel was installed and put into operation and my opinion on the fact that this is the most useless waste of money, I have not changed. Further I will try to be as dry and to the point as possible.Installed our master, I was at the time he was in the hospital, so alas, no photos outside the kitchen What we have:

Left to right:Panel locking (children locking or cleaning)Left 1800W left ON/OFF switch1200W timer/power down switch STD timer/power up switch Right 1200W right 1800W on/off switch Each STD has 9 temperature settings, the start of any of them begins with 5,

Disconnection of separate ZN is carried out by setting “0” (it is possible both to increase capacity after nine, and to reduce up to zero). In fact, the red S become at the moment of heat supply, if the circle is extinguished, it means that the surface has heated to an optimum temperature.

The timer can be set for each of the zones separately, after setting it on the panel next to the designation of power, a dot appears

Pros:. you can cook food-autolock at the moment of wiping the surfaceDisadvantages:-very little power even on mode 9

I have already got used to the fact that if you want the water to boil quickly, then pour it into the pot from a freshly boiled kettle, but not all the same foods are thrown into the boiling water! To cook trivial soup with meatballs now in time as much as a real Ukrainian borsch, taking into account the cooking pampuschki, and boiling water after dipping the frozen dumplings you can wait for the second coming of Christ!- the surface of the water heats unevenly. On the same pancakes are always in the same place already beginning to burn, and the other side barely showed color, in my favorite cast iron cauldron on one side of the onion is barely sizzling, on the other side is ready. And so in absolutely any dish! I stopped frying pirozhki on the cast-iron grill because it was only possible to cry over them (they do not rise as they should, burn or dry out). Not only do you have to turn the pan over, but you also have to twist the pan toward the wall to simulate even cooking.- Uneven heat deliveryIt’s funny: you cook potatoes in a pot (by the way, with this panel, the potatoes in a 2l pot cooks for over an hour), 5 seconds the water boils so that splashes in all directions, 30 seconds of silence, as if not boiling, then again 5 seconds bacchanalia and another 30 full STIHL. It’s like kicking a ball instead of rolling it smoothly. Solution: cook everything in a huge pot, filling it no more than halfway.- InterlockIt’s convenient that it turns on automatically when you start wiping the surface, but it’s very annoying to hear that squeak the stove makes for some unknown reason. That is, if you lock the stove from the baby, be prepared to hear a squeak all night alerting you to incomprehensible things. If the lock is on right after you’ve used the left big MN, resign yourself to the fact that the unit won’t come off until the stove cools down.- The whole sensor stops responding from overheating Let’s say you’ve reached the point where a 7-liter pot of soup starts boiling again and you want to turn down the power so as not to let it boil over, but there’s no way! In 4 hours of cooking, something overheated somewhere and not one button is feeling your finger anymore. God, I have tried to write dry, but how my emotions are boiling from the memories, when I had to put a huge pan aside and for 10 minutes with tears to poke at these buttons!- Over time, the power dropsFor half a year of use, I’ve noticed that the 6 on the left big ZN, corresponds to the 4 on the right big ZN. Probably the power has dropped due to frequent use.- Very markyLogically, any glossy black surface would be a mark, but in this case, it’s the panel that’s the problem, t.к. If it heated uniformly instead of jerking, the contents would not spurt out of the saucepan like a raging volcano! Often the soup/ porridge will get under the pan and burn there in lumps (you can’t wipe the hot surface with a rag), which then only a melamine sponge can scrub off. You can read about cleaning here.

To date, I hate cooking pancakes and omelets, stuffed cabbage rolls and similar packaged dishes are now a dream for me, 70% of my dishes have migrated to the oven and multivar, all pots, over 5 liters of volume stowed in the attic until better time and I tell you exactly: I hate this hob.It is worth adding that this is not my first electric cooktop, I cooked a year on the Bosch panel in a rental apartment and yes, I did not like it either, but there the matter was the lack of ability to determine “fire by eye”, and in this case, the panel is simply a product of defecation. I would never advise anyone to buy it.

Electric cooktop LEX EVH 640 BL. Reviewed by

We moved to a new apartment, where there was already built in a kitchen, but no stove((( I had to urgently select and buy a cooktop. The snag was that almost all manufacturers of cooker hobs specify that the distance from the cutout in the worktop to the wall should be at least 50 mm, but in our case it was only 35 mm. Of course, this is most probably done in the interest of safety, and the hob would have fit, but we didn’t want to risk it. I asked the manufacturer through the group in contact, if this cooktop will work, to which I quickly received the answer that it will. The first plus to this manufacturer.

The hob fits perfectly. No complications during installation. Looks good. Material. Glass ceramic, 4 burners, touch control.

Operation is very simple. Buttons for four burners. To control the desired cooking zone, you select the corresponding button. Buttons “” and “-” to increase and decrease the power respectively.

The hob has a timer. Each burner can be set to its own time, after the set time, the burner turns off. When the time is set, a dot appears next to the power number of the relevant cooking zone.

There is a lock for the control panel. The “Lo” icon appears. You can lock the cooking zones with a light touch on the corresponding button. And you can remove it by long pressing on it.

There is a small disadvantage. Even when the hob is locked, if you wipe it with a cloth, it shuts off anyway. You have to turn it on again.

Another detail: the actual cooking zone is slightly smaller than the painted area. This is clearly visible in the picture.

There is a residual heat indicator. As long as the burner is hot, the “H” icon near the respective burner flashes.

LEX Видеообзор электрической варочной поверхности EVH 320 BL

And the biggest disadvantage of this hob. If you cook a lot and on four burners at once, then this panel is definitely not for you! Because when you turn on three, much less four burners at once on some burners power decreases. And even at maximum power it’s impossible to wait for the water to boil, for example. Some burners have to be turned off.

Otherwise, if one or two or sometimes three burners are working, then everything is fine.
